Trade Show Booth Design

Author: Kevin Stith

When you have an exhibit at a trade show, youre in competition with everybody else. The average attendee who visits the show is exposed to a variety of sights and sounds. Therefore, your booth should be able to cut through the clutter. Getting a great design for your trade show booth will definitely give you an edge and a much-needed head start.

The idea is to use your booth to send the right message a message that will make the trade show attendee want to stop. Whether or not you have a big budget, you can create a booth that will stand out from the crowd by paying special attention to the design of the booth.

A few points that one can keep in mind while designing a trade show booth are the visual appeal, the eye-grabbing displays, the appropriate furniture for the stall, and the lighting in the booth.

At the very start, make your booth visually pleasant. Use your companys color scheme and graphic. Spice it up with bright colored banners to make it attractive to the eye. Obviously, the flip side of this is to make sure you dont over-do it.

It is advisable to spend some time developing eye-catching displays. Distribute the display material massively and uniformly across the exhibit. Also, selecting the appropriate furniture is imperative to a professional look. Be sure to select pieces of furniture that go hand in hand with your display. Pay special attention to make the furniture colors match your exhibit, as well as to choose pieces that are proportional in size to your available space.

Having adequate lighting in your booth is crucial to the ambience of your set up. It is almost like one secret weapon to differentiate you from the rest of the booths. Illuminate your display exhibit with more lights than the norm. This strategy highlights your position when compared to other exhibitors that surround you.

Besides these physical strategies, there are some other important aspects to produce a compelling booth. These strategies include a few extra genuine smiles, which can become surefire ways to get and maintain new customers.
