First Commandment Of Marketing Online

Author: Kevin Moon

Brian Campbell, a highly successful Internet marketer and creator of the Internet Profit Mentor, states that You cant promote anything online without first capturing the email address of your website visitors. He even goes as far as making that his First Commandment Of Marketing Online.

Capturing the email address of your websites visitors could mean (and probably will) the difference between a highly successful Internet venture and a mediocre or even unsuccessful venture.

According to marketing experts (offline and online), it takes a consumer 6 to 8 times to see your marketing message before they commit to purchase. When someone visits your site for the first time it is highly unlikely they will make a purchase. You will need to capture their email address in order to send them carefully planned marketing campaigns that will eventually lead them to purchase your products.

The tool you need to collect your visitors email addresses is called an autoresponder. Autoresponders manage your database of customers and potential customers. It provides the form that collects the email addresses, stores this information, and automatically sends them messages as dictated by how you configure the autoresponder.

Autoresponders are highly configurable. You create your messages and place them in your autoresponder. Create however many different messages you want and tell the autoresponder to send your prospects an email 2 days later, 7 days later, 15 days later, etc. You can also send a message to everyone on your list at the same time. This is a great way to announce a new product release. You can make a lot of money over a short period of time using this feature alone.

Collecting email addresses from your websites visitors is a system you must incorporate into your website if you want to make serious money. An autoresponder is the tool you need to use to make the process of collecting these emails and sending messages to your list. Obey the First Commandment of Online Marketing and watch your profits soar.
