Finding The Perfect Job For The Stay-at-Home Mom

Author: Windsor Pennicott

Are you a stay-at-home mom who has been thinking of ways to earn an income from the comfort of your home? Finding that perfect job that matches your skills and interest isn't necessarily easy unless you are provided with several options. Chances are you have several commitments such as your children, housework, and other chores all vying for your attention and time.

The above factors all determine the kinds of jobs that are suitable for you. For the average stay-at-home mom a non-commitment job would be perfect since it provides flexibility, something every stay-at-home mom needs. So where are the best places to find suitable jobs and what types of jobs are available?

The best places to find suitable jobs are on the Internet. Whether you are interested in being employed directly by a company or to be self-employed where you determine when and how often you work is a matter of your tolerance for risk. There are companies that will hire you to work a set number of hours per week in areas such as article writing and answering emails with very little direct supervision.

However, if you are the type of person who would like to have complete control over how much you earn and when you work, you would be better off becoming self-employed. As a self-employed stay-at-home mom you'll work a little harder initially but once you get the process going you'll end up with more freedom and flexibility and earn a lot more as well.

The best jobs suitable for stay-at-home moms are jobs that can be done over the Internet, jobs that can be done while the baby is sleeping or just before going to bed or early in the morning. This list include: surveys, focus groups, online mystery shopping, answering emails, article writing via joining a service such as eLannce.com, or if you are the creative type who wants to get more involved you could launch a website that offers services or products you would enjoy selling.

If you'd like to get started immediately with very little risk it's better to start off with one of the easiest jobs, such as paid surveys. Paid surveys have become one of the main online jobs for stay-at-home moms because of the extreme flexibility it provides. You work as hard as you want to and whenever you'd like to.

Surveys are one of the many ways companies gather consumers' opinions about current as well as future products. These opinions help them improve their products as well as introduce new ones. In order to get us consumers to participate they are willing to pay a fee per survey completed.

Prior to the Internet, surveys were done over the phone and through the mail. Now that everyone is connected to the Internet, they have made those surveys available online. This is where you as a stay-at-home mom come in. With a computer and Internet connection you can provide your opinion to hundreds of companies and make a nice income from the comfort of your home.

The only problem you'll face is finding those hundreds of companies online that offer paid surveys. Usually, it takes months to find them all, but there are services online that have done this research and catalogued them in a database that's accessible to all for a small fee. Once you choose a good database you'll have access to the best paid surveys available.

Overtime you can add other sources of income from any of the other options above if you so desire. Whatever choices you make always remember that just because you are a stay-at-home mom, doesn't mean you can't have a job that you love and have control over.
