Dream Pieces - Thousands Have This Priceless Gift But Never Discover It

Author: Elisha Goodman

Welcome to part 1 of this exciting series where you'll learn about dreams that lead to greatness, fame, recognition and power.

Ill start by asking you a question.

Do you know how to catch your dream before it fades into obscurity?

Or, do you understand what God is trying to tell you through your dreams?

Lets look at this familiar one and learn a few things from there.

Joseph

One night as Joseph slept he had a dream. In his dream he and his brothers were bundling up stalks of grain into sheaves and his brothers sheaves all bowed down to his sheaf.

Another time Joseph had a different dream. He dreamed that he saw the sun, the moon, and eleven stars and they all bowed down to him.

He told his brothers about the dream. Which just made them mad at him. He also told the dream to his father, Jacob. Jacob scolded him for telling such a thing, but he kept thinking about what Joseph had said.

One day Jacob sent Joseph out to see his brothers who were caring for the sheep. Joseph found his brothers but when they saw him, they were still so angry that they threw him in a pit and took his coat. They sold Joseph to a caravan that was traveling to Egypt.

In Egypt Joseph was a slave but he was tricked and thrown in prison. In prison he met the Kings cup bearer who was also a prisoner. The cup bearer was freed, however, and went back to serving Pharaoh his wine.

Pharaoh was the most powerful man in all of Egypt...as powerful as the president of the United States today.

Whatever he said was law but today he was very troubled.

He had been having strange dreams that he could not understand.

When the cup bearer heard this he told the Pharaoh a story. When he was in prison he had a strange dream. He dreamed he saw a grape vine with three branches. When the grapes were ripe he squeezed them into Pharaohs cup and gave it to him. Another prisoner, named Joseph, explained that the dream meant that in three days he would be freed.

Another prisoner, Pharaohs baker, also had a dream. He dreamed he was walking with three baskets of bread on his head and birds flew down and ate the bread. Joseph explained that the dream meant that in three days the baker would be killed.

In three days it all happened as Joseph said it would.

Pharaoh sent for Joseph to interpret his dreams. Joseph explained that he could not interpret dreams but that God would give him the answer. Pharaoh told Joseph his dreams.

In his first dream, he saw seven fat cows come out of the Nile River. They were followed by seven skinny cows that ate the fat cows but still they were as skinny as before.

In the second dream there was a stalk with seven full ripe ears of grain. Out of the stalk grew seven other ears, thin and dry and the thin dry ears swallowed up the full ripe ears.

Both dreams mean the same thing, explained Joseph.

God is telling you what will happen. There will be seven years of record harvests followed by seven years of famine. You must store grain from the first seven years to feed your people during the years of famine.

Pharaoh was so grateful to Joseph that he made him governor of all of Egypt.

Joseph had dreams of greatness. You may be having the same without knowing it.

Jack Niklaus

World Champion Golfer

Some dreams can help solve scientific problems, paint a masterpiece, or improve at sports.

World champion golfer Jack Niklaus told a reporter in 1964 that he used dreaming to achieve championship standards.

"Last Wednesday night I had a dream, and it was about my gold swing. I was hitting them pretty good in the dream, and all at once I realized I wasn't holding the club the way I've actually been holding it lately.

"I've actually been having trouble collapsing my right arm, taking the club head away from the ball, but I was doing it perfectly in my sleep.

"So when I came to the course yesterday morning, I tried it in the way I did in my dream and it worked.

"I shot a 68 yesterday and a 65 today and believe me it's a lot more fun this way. I feel kind of foolish admitting it but it really happened in my dream. All I had to do was change my grip just a little."

Jack had a dream that rocketed him to success, fame and prosperity. You may be having the same without knowing it.

Question is:

Do you know how to catch your dream before it fades into obscurity?

Or better still, do you understand what God is trying to tell you through your dreams?

Francis of Assisi

Saint/Founder - Franciscan Monks

Dreams played an important part in the life of St. Francis of Assisi. They gave him the strength to persevere with his life of poverty and establish his order of Franciscan Monks.

Just before a difficult interview with Pope Innocent III Francis dreamed he saw a tall tree with wide thick branches.

The nature-loving saint looked upon it with wonder and realized that as he looked he grew in size until he was the same height as the tree.

When he touched its branches the tree bowed in reference. Francis took this as a message from God that Pope Innocent III would accept his ideas.

He did.

Saint Francis had a dream that brought him favor, recognition and respect. You may be having the same without knowing it.

Charles Dickens

Famous Novelst

One night Charles Dickens dreamed he saw a woman in a red shawl with her back toward him.

"I am Miss Napier," she said as she spun around.

The dream seemed to be nonsense but the next night after giving a literary reading some friends came backstage and introduced him to a woman they wanted him to meet.

Her name was Miss Napier.

Charles had a dream that helped him find love, feel wanted and appreciated.

Do you realize you may be having such dreams without knowing it?
